St Catherine's Youth Centre -Internet Café
Dublin City Council sought, at short notice, to launch youth-centred initiative that could be developed through its community centres.
Donnelly Turpin Architects was appointed to design and oversee to completion the delivery of the City Council’s first internet café in a period of 12 weeks. The project was located in an unassigned open space in St Catherine’s community centre, D.8. The brief, which was developed in discussion with the youth clientele, included an internet café and chill-out seating zone.
The Youth Cafe was offically opened by the Lord mayor of Dublin in June 2007.
